Review on ๐Ÿ“ธ Pentax AF540FGZ II Flash: Elevate Your Photography with this Must-Have for Pentax DSLR Cameras by George Sullivan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It's nice! The old 540fgz only flashed around.

Disadvantages: No connection for an additional battery! What the hell? Most functions are hidden under push button menus, rather rigid switches. (Switching to HSS? You'll have to hit the sync button a few times to make sure it's correct.) Settings don't persist after power off, so not having hardware switches becomes a real headache. Pro: Weather resistance comes in handy. The flash fires repeatedly without delay if there is enough energy left. It's nice! The old 540fgz flickered about once a second even on the lowest power setting. I don't know if I would spend the extra money again. I would probably take the old version.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Functionality

Very nice flash, works very well with the pentax 645Z camera. Very Happy!
