more scratchy than sandpaper
Granted, you won't feel it under the sheets and mattress topper, but I have covers on every mattress in my house because my son and I have allergies, so I've seen a lot of these in my time, and this one is just terrible. The fabric is awful, like sandpaper. It's like a super cheap washcloth that has been washed 5,000 times and is a little worn and scratched. I will still use this one because I have it and I put a mattress pad on it and sheets on it but I'm honestly amazed at how awful the texture is. All of our other mattress covers are smooth and soft so I have no idea why they made this one that way.
