Have been using it every day for 8 months now. They were initially pretty and looked great, but the coloring faded over time - which can only mean that the color was added once, despite the item's description stating 'The wood is naturally this colour, it no stain was applied. "What was worse and what made me want to get rid of these bowls was the chemical smell we noticed. Now there's a disgusting smell coming from the bowls, almost like a mixture of smoke and varnish. It also imparts an odor to the food , which can only mean that we are consuming the chemicals these shells are emitting, not to mention the color (or varnish) that has been slowly fading over the past 8 months.
