    Just a good DVD player.

    The DVD player is very easy to use. Switching between regions of the world is easy. Pressing the Home, Home, A, B, C buttons is easy to remember and works consistently. The connection of the player with the TV screen is interesting. I wish the "ON" indicator was brighter. Darkness.

    Your Ultimate Region Free Blu-ray and DVD Solution!

    Has worked great since install (I waited a bit before writing this review. DVDs do not require settings to play other regions. Blu-ray has three options for different regions and is very easy to install (one button for each I've only tested UK and Japanese Blu-Ray and no problem. It's SONY so picture quality isn't a problem. It's not the latest SONY model but I was ok with it, it's not cheap, but for the freedom to buy any Blu-Ray region/ DVD and viewing are paid, highly recommended.

    The sound cuts out when playing a DVD.

    This player pauses the audio when playing a DVD, sometimes 3 or 4 times on a single DVD and I have to restart it when this happens. I tried to return the player but Revain wouldn't take it back as the "Deals" 30 day return period had expired when I installed it and became aware of the issue. So they referred me to the Sony warranty and the Sony warranty didn't meet the warranty because it was 'used, repaired or returned'. So I spent $216 on a "deal," but it turned out to be a "bad deal."     Not worth the time or the money.

    The only thing I like about this product is that it plays my 3D discs. It's weird to set the region that says you have to open the tray and press the colored buttons to change regions. It won't change region just by inserting a disc, so it's done manually, which is confusing. All apps are out of date and I still can't get the newly released apps. It has Netflix, Revain, Vudu and the only video streaming apps it has. Like other reviews it gets stuck sometimes and you have to unplug and plug it…

    I started returning this item because it didn't work at first and I can still return it. They warn the buyer that it may take some time to start up, but it took me over 5 minutes before I decided it was a defect and that the included HDMI cable worked much better than it did.
