This is such a great tank separator. If you read some reviews of power supplies you will see that people complain that after a year some of them start falling apart leaving holes in the mesh. That will never change. It is a strong, hard, highly transparent acrylic. At worst, it could get scratched over time. But it will never fall apart and just miss the fish. Yes, it costs more, but 10 years later, after having to buy several others and this one is still worth it, you pay less. Other benefits: - Grilles often have clips that prevent the gas cap from closing. Just not these. They added a fifth sucker with two additional suckers. That way, even if something goes wrong, you'll have the perfect replacement part. It was perfect for my 10 gallon aqueon. zero adjustment required; it just worked right away. What you need to know: There is a thin layer of plastic that protects both sides of the acrylic. It may not be obvious to everyone, but these layers need to be peeled off on both sides for it to be clear. You may have to fiddle with it for a while to get the edge, but other than that it works cleanly. The instructions mention the need to remove these layers, but knowing some people don't read the instructions thought I'd put it in here. TLDR; This has to be the best tank divider and I am very glad I bought it.
