Frustrating: Thermometers and Timers

I calculated about 29 minutes and 30 seconds. But the sand sticks to the glass, so you have to tap it several times to make all the sand squirt out. I assume there is some moisture in the hourglass. Sand stuck to the glass doesn't look very good. I would be willing to pay more for an hourglass that works well and has all the sand flowing out smoothly and completely.
