I was skeptical that this unit would mount securely and not interfere with my MacBook Pro. My skepticism turned out to be wrong. It feels fairly secure, and the small protrusion between the screen and keyboard (when the laptop is closed) doesn't touch the screen at all. I was afraid it would hit there and leave marks over time, but I've been using it for several months now with no problems. I also love how its small size makes it just disappear. When it's not locked, I hardly notice MacLock. I'm still confused as to why Apple engineers haven't figured out a good way to put a Kensington slot in the new MacBooks, but nonetheless it's a clean, sophisticated, and solid solution. I was very pleased.
