They work well except the paw rests a bit on the stick (no angle and can't scratch). I have to turn slightly at an angle to the paw (at the paw neck) to make it easier to scratch. However, the metal of the paw seems to break easily (zinc or tin?) because when I turn I don't feel the "jumping". Many reviews complain about the ease of hacking. Anyway, mine are strong and not cracked.
