Review on πŸ•ΆοΈ Casio MTP-1183Q-7A: Stylish Men's Gold Analog Dress Watch with Croc-Leather Band & Date Function by Crystal Collins

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The color of the strap is peeling

UPDATE Jan 22, 2015: I'm reducing my rating from four stars to two stars. Why? The embossed genuine leather strap is dyed with artificial bovine blood at the top. The coating peeled off after less than 6 months of use. The result is unattractive. The gold finish on the case is still good, which is to be expected from the durability of a watch of this class. But the paint on the strap shouldn't just peel off like it does. The net result is that while the band is durable, it doesn't wear well cosmetically. Consider a similar Casio watch with a more durable metal, plastic, or textile strap. ----- Original review 08/25/2014: I love analogue clocks. My pet's group began to fall apart. Then the battery died. Instead of replacing it I decided to buy this Casio watch. About 50% cheaper This watch looks more expensive than it is. Real leather with a faux alligator strap is a nice touch: more organic than a metal or plastic strap. The whole set looks great with an earth tone suit (brown, dark brown) or blazer. The dial is easy to read in both bright and dim light. The white face helps with readability. It's nice to spend the day too: I can read clearly without glasses from a reasonable distance. The only drawback is the thickness of the case. At 11mm thick, they are no thicker than the average men's watch. But Casio can easily shrink this case by 2-4mm and still use the same movement. Four stars for a reasonably priced, well read and good looking watch. With normal high-quality Casio clockwork!
