This mount is perfect for what I needed it for, mounting the BoostWaves antenna on the side of the roof. It is durable and can be easily positioned and then tightened. It's also powder coated so it will last forever without rusting. I needed more height than was offered, so I went to my local hardware store and bought an 8-foot piece of 1-inch PVC pipe to use as an extension. cheaper than buying a metal extension here at Revain and it will last just as long. I extended my antenna an additional 6 feet higher. I drilled holes in the top of the PVC pipe and ran cables to all four corners of my roof, around the PVC to keep stable in the wind. No problem! Simply insert the PVC into the top of this mount and secure. Works like a charm and I definitely recommend this J mount. Be careful, it fits the diameter of your antenna. The maximum diameter to insert a PVC pipe, extension pipe or antenna tube on the top of this mount is 1 inch! Of course you can buy a slightly smaller diameter, but DO NOT buy a larger diameter extension unless you have an adapter to reduce it to 1 inch. Or less.
