UPDATE: I've updated my review with more information. I had to buy new appliances and the fridge and stove are much heavier than my previous appliances. These sliders didn't work as well with heavier fixtures. They didn't slip either. In fact, you have to put a little pressure on the device and it slips and the sliders don't come out from under your feet. In addition, after the device rests on the slider for 24 hours, the slider moves slightly to help the foot of the instrument stay in it more firmly. Definitely not that easy to handle with heavier items. However, it is worth it. I used them to move stoves and refrigerators in two blocks; 1 with grout tiles and the other with linoleum. Worked great once you put them under the tech. The devices didn't slip and slid easily, with no scratches or cuts on the floor. ALWAYS pay attention to the alignment of the tread; The BLACK side must be on the INSTRUMENT side; brown felt on the floor. I leave them under appliances so they can be easily moved around and cleaned afterwards. Otherwise you will definitely have problems with it! I've also put them under the legs of a large couch to distribute the weight and hopefully my feet won't smash the carpet underfoot as much. I'm glad I bought them.
