Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Bikehand Bicycle Floor Parking Rack Stand: Perfect Indoor/Outdoor Storage Solution for Mountain and Road Bikes by Reginald Pitt

Works but not quite for my needs.

After years of leaning my bike against the wall in my apartment, it has severe stains. I decided to buy it to keep my bike upright - next to the wall but not against the wall. It generally works, but not particularly well. The rack itself is too light to easily carry my bike with saddlebags, and it doesn't have enough weight to stay in place when I'm trying to roll the front wheel into the well. Very often I find that the trunk slides when I try to put my bike in it and unless I'm very careful how I put my bike in it it still leans against the wall. Once you have purchased this I recommend the following procedure: 1. Use your foot to pull the rack away from the wall and level it.2. Use your foot to flip the "lock" mechanism3. Hold the kickstand with your foot while rolling the front wheel into the groove.4. Once the wheel is in place, lift the rear of the bike and position it straight back so it can stand up better. If you have luggage on the bike (e.g. the right pannier), rotate the front wheel (and trunk) slightly towards the luggage so that there are 3 points of contact with the ground (front of trunk, back of trunk, rear wheel of the bike) as a triangle instead of a line to make it more stable. What can you say about how to take the bike out of the luggage rack? I haven't found a good method that doesn't move the rack. It really seems like the biggest improvement is to weight down the base of the stand and make it a bit wider so it's more stable.
