I always hear people say 'buy a Firestik'. I agree. although to be honest I have little experience with competitor products. The instructions are clear, the product is made in the USA (if I remember correctly) and setup is very easy. I've hit a lot of trees off-road and scratched the antenna many times because my temporary attachment point prevented my Jeep's rear window from opening. It holds up perfectly and even served as a mount for a whip flag. Nothing negative to say about it. In fact, I will be buying their 5 inch antenna very soon. because I'm a geek and I need an extra potential mile or two more range. Please remember, whichever antenna you choose, make sure you set its SWR. Don't be the type to buy a quality product, cut it short and then complain about the CB, cable, antenna, etc. You dont know what you are doing? google it and you will find plenty of resources to get the job done right.
