CB was easy to set up with this antenna and quick connector

Paired with my unid CB, Firestik antenna, quick connector and strong spring. CB was easy to set up with this antenna and a quick disconnect. It's flexible on trails when it hits trees and I have a strong bond with my friends when cruising.

It took a bit of fiddling but worked great for the few months I had

It was a bit shabby but worked great for the few months I had. If you put it on a small mount, like the ones on a jeep, do yourself a favor and grind the plane until it's silver for good soil, it'll change the world.

High SWR in NGP setup

I installed this on the flag mount on my RZR but it wasn't very easy. The problem was that the flag mounting hole wasn't actually grounded, so I had to improvise its own ground with 10 gauge wire. After adding the ground wire, the SWR dropped a bit, but the meter still said the antenna was too long and the SWR was too high. Figured I'd try removing the adjustment screw completely first before attempting to cut the antenna and voila, after removing the screw the SWR was a reasonable 1.3-1.4. So…

Great Antenna for Jeep Wrangler

Previously bought the 3 foot version for my 16 year old Jeep Wrangler spare wheel mount. The performance of the 4ft antenna has been greatly improved. Significantly better SWR results after tuning and significantly better reception. I have to remove the antenna to get into the garage, so I keep the wrench and antenna in the back of my jeep for long rides. The total height from the ground to the top of the antenna is 8 feet. I bought a stainless steel screw (with compatible threads) that I…

3.5 stars if I could

Package arrived today safely with no dented corners. Mostly in good shape. However, the domestic marketing package was a different story. It was very clear that someone had already opened the original packaging. It appeared to be a previously returned item. The antenna had small defects. Nothing serious though. But the biggest problem I have is that the antenna is not straight. There's already a little bow to him. I noticed that when I held it by the base and it wanted to turn in my hand. I…

This thing worked like a champ!

This antenna gave me really good reception where I was (Florence near the coke ovens). We managed to communicate between 4 trucks, we had no problems. Very clear with Uniden BEARCAT CB Radio with Sideband and Weatherband (980SSB) and very easy to install and set up. We went pretty deep in the water and the antenna handled the trees like a champ. Very flexible. The only thing to watch out for in the trees is your tip, mine fell off. But you can order a set of 2 for about $5. Be sure to purchase…

No complaints, solid product

I always hear people say 'buy a Firestik'. I agree. although to be honest I have little experience with competitor products. The instructions are clear, the product is made in the USA (if I remember correctly) and setup is very easy. I've hit a lot of trees off-road and scratched the antenna many times because my temporary attachment point prevented my Jeep's rear window from opening. It holds up perfectly and even served as a mount for a whip flag. Nothing negative to say about it. In fact, I…
