Previously bought the 3 foot version for my 16 year old Jeep Wrangler spare wheel mount. The performance of the 4ft antenna has been greatly improved. Significantly better SWR results after tuning and significantly better reception. I have to remove the antenna to get into the garage, so I keep the wrench and antenna in the back of my jeep for long rides. The total height from the ground to the top of the antenna is 8 feet. I bought a stainless steel screw (with compatible threads) that I thread into the antenna mount (instead of the antenna) to keep dirt and water out of the antenna mount threads. I also made a small label to remind me that the antenna is not installed so I don't accidentally try to transmit CB radio without the antenna installed.
