I installed this on the flag mount on my RZR but it wasn't very easy. The problem was that the flag mounting hole wasn't actually grounded, so I had to improvise its own ground with 10 gauge wire. After adding the ground wire, the SWR dropped a bit, but the meter still said the antenna was too long and the SWR was too high. Figured I'd try removing the adjustment screw completely first before attempting to cut the antenna and voila, after removing the screw the SWR was a reasonable 1.3-1.4. So if you can adjust this and figure out the high SWR situation, it might be worth backing off the adjustment screw a bit to see if it's out of range.
