Better installation than I feared

I had many questions about the installation of this product and a few weeks ago when I bought it there were no reviews yet so I'll give as many details as possible. They are installed on the Honda CRV 2021. They're quite thick compared to the thinner foil treadplates and I was concerned that they wouldn't be very easy to fit, but I was surprised. I trimmed the tailgate pieces (note that the lines in the photo extend to the edge of the sill step - I cut off about 1.5 inches on each side). I'm happy with how it turned out, but I could probably leave it as it is. I just didn't like the look of the tread that rises up the sides of the sill. My biggest concern was how well the steps would fold over the front edge of the door sill as they were also wider than the main sill. After cleaning the door sill with a low residue cleaner and an alcohol wipe, I removed the protective film from the sill. tread and align the top edge just below the door weatherstrip above the sill. I carefully "wiggled" the leading edge of the rocker protector under the door weatherstrip and applied adhesive to the top edge first before contacting the rest of the adhesive to the door sill. I then pressed the protective sheet down firmly with my fingers, then the flat side of the putty knife, and finally a small craft roller to make sure the flat part of the door sill was secure, then folded the edge about 1/2 an inch and repeated with my fingers - spatula and roller. The CRV sill has some bumps in the sill and I have been very careful not to create blisters and to firmly press the treads on the rough spots. I even used a hot blow dryer to slightly heat the treads after installation and then rolled them back up to ensure the adhesive was securely stuck to the door sill. The temp on the day I installed it was up at around 65 degrees F, which I think also helped compared to installing it in the garage. on a cold day. Overall I'm happy with them but it remains to be seen how they will hold up as it's only been a day since they were installed. My wife is an artist and interior designer and she thought they looked good. The photos are of the front and rear door on the driver's side. I have a complaint. I didn't see the design lines on either side of the CRV on the passenger door tread were crooked on the tread until I installed them. At first I thought I screwed up the installation, but upon closer inspection it turned out that the red lines are not parallel to the edges of the tread. I don't have a photo, but you can see the lines - correctly placed on the tread - in the driver's side photo I've attached. My wife didn't notice this until I pointed it out, so I suspect few people will notice getting in a car. Luckily it's on the passenger side because I'll recognize it. If it was on the driver's side I would go insane every time I opened the door to drive.
