My newly upgraded CCTV DVR is easy to program and change to location with just a mouse and monitor DVR , which is in a secure storage cabinet. So I had to hook up a small monitor, put it on top of the dash cam and plug it in directly. My DVR has BNC, VGA and HDMI connections and since BNC is currently connected to my main monitor but I will be installing an HDMI monitor soon I took one of my old VGA cables and connected this cute little monitor to the VGA connector connected. After figuring out how to switch the monitor from HDMI to the VGA port I was using, the correct image appeared on the screen. Very bright, very clear and does exactly what I need. In a few years I will also know how he is holding up. It only turns on a couple of times a year if I need to change the DVR settings for some reason, so hopefully it will last a very long time.
