Review on 🧦 Fruit of the Loom Everyday Black Socks: Comfortable and Stylish Footwear for Daily Use by Kenneth Murphy

NOT WHAT I EXPECTED FROM FRUIT OF THE LOOM

I rarely justify bad reviews but being so disappointed with this purchase I had no choice. I've been wearing crew socks since my early teens, maybe longer. I'm in my seventies now, which means I wear a hell of a lot of socks. Tied home and trapped in a power chair, I rarely wear shoes. The footrest on my chair is intentionally rough to keep my feet from falling off. This, of course, destroys socks, and when my toes started sticking out I knew it was time to replace them. I find it easier to throw out every pair of old socks and replace them with new ones. Because I'm going home, Revane is my mall. Everything I need to buy is researched online and then price checked here at Revain. Usually, but not always, Revain has the best prices. This time they did. I have to say that buying socks here at Revain is stunning. The choice is so large and almost, if not all manufacturers are represented. I bought these socks mainly because of the good price, quantity and brand. I mean where can you screw up Fruit of the Loom. So the socks arrived and from the moment I received the package I knew something was wrong. The socks were well illustrated and I wore these brands or similar so I knew how they should look but there was something special about them. As I said, I just throw away the old ones and replace them with new ones. I had already thrown out a few and the six remaining pairs were being placed on the dresser ready for the dumpster when I realized what was going on. The new socks, all ten pairs, were much lighter than the six pairs worn. Now I understand that almost everything made nowadays has been cut in materials and the quality is not the same but WOW! The difference between the new pair and the old was very disturbing. Oh, there's nothing you can do. At least they were similar. Comparing the two, the differences became clearer. The bottom of the socks are padded, but the new ones can't match the thickness of the old ones. Remember, I'm comparing socks I've worn for years to new ones. My guess is that Fruit of the Loom either cuts corners too much or Revain sells different quality socks. Oh, I'll wear them, but I won't be a happy camper doing it. Maybe I'm remembering the old days too much, when you got what you paid for.
