Spaciousness + expandability was the main factor in choosing the player as I plan to only use it in the car over the stereo. I compared AGPTEK (32/128GB) and Grtdhx (64/128GB) - that's the point. Firstly, it is worth noting that both work under the same "OS" and have similar glitches. One of AGPTEK's unique features is that regardless of the "time format" choice, the time is always displayed in 24-hour format. Even if AGPTEK goes into sleep mode (simply moving the keys won't wake it up), you still need to press the power button. The AGPTEK screen is larger and has a higher resolution which makes for some nice backgrounds etc. but unfortunately they waste extra space. resulting in showing the same amount of text as Grtdhx, and even worse because they use an absolutely smaller font. With the bounty I give to readability, Grtdhx wins even with a smaller, more pixelated screen. The good thing about AGPTEK is that the middle button is "OK" and the top right button is "Menu" - more natural than Grtdhx where they toggle. Also, the button illumination on the AGPTEK (blue) matches the panel image better than the one (red) on the Grtdhx. The AGPTEK has a much louder and better speaker and is on the bottom edge instead of the back like the Grtdhx, and AGPTEK also included some cheap headphones. All of this leads me to use Grtdhx with additional built-in capacity. three CONS, What both have in common: 1) Once you get into the folder view, homemade m3u playlists don't work. To fix this I found that it required "Refresh" (which disables Bluetooth) and then had to start a song from the playlist before BT could be re-enabled. 2) The on-screen icons are barely highlighted when selected - it's easy to lose track of which one is selected. 3) SERIOUSLY: the ability to "search" by album, artist, and genre actually scans the sorted list - good, but BAD that scanning "songs" uses the filename instead of the metadata title field! This means that most of the files named in the album (for example) '02-Take it Easy.mp3' for track 2 be grouped by track number, NOT alphabetically by song title! Also, my singles files are in artist title format, so the "Song" variety essentially duplicates the "Artist" variety I already have! This makes finding music seriously difficult unless I manually reformat my entire collection. I hope manufacturers see this comment and update their firmware in the future! It's almost enough to make me want to return it, but I expect all those Chinese players to have this bug. Now I HAVE to rely on playlists and folder browsing for listening - and bug #1 mentioned above makes that a problem too. that all these Chinese players will have this bug.
