Well, most of us are used to cheap Chinese goods being cheap mass-produced junk. Let me tell you that this lighter is not. It's very well made and should cost 3x what they're charging for it. It's thick-walled brass, nicely polished, has a decent weight, and the mechanism that seals the wick and filler holes effectively prevents lighter fluid from evaporating. In fact, my first lighter fill lasted three weeks when used multiple times a day and was still going strong when I decided to add more liquid. My zippers always dry out within a week, so it's a very pleasant surprise that this lighter does what it's designed to do. None of my lighters is as well made as this lighter. As some others point out in their reviews, the only downside might be the o-ring used to close the wick and fill any holes. I think as long as you don't use your lighter as a candle and don't let the flame burn for too long they will last you for years. Buy this lighter you will not regret it and I never thought I would say that about a product made in China. Update: I've owned the slider for a year and a month and use it all the time. I've never had a single problem with it and it's a wonderful lighter. In fact, compared to all the zippos I own, it outperforms all and holds liquid for weeks without evaporating. It's built like a tank, well made and fun. I highly recommend this lighter. That's the only way you won't be disappointed.
