Such a simple idea, but inexpensive and works. Although stated to only fit a 15.6" laptop or smaller, it actually fits my 17" laptop with or without a USB powered cooling pad. (I don't need extra room for a mouse on the side.) It's lightweight, durable, and comfortable for extended use. Some negative reviews say the surface is slippery, but both my laptop and the aluminum cooling pad I use underneath have small rubber feet so this isn't a problem. If I was going to use an iPad or Chromebook, I would use a strip of non-slip shelf film. Similarly, some people complain that it's not adjustable, but for a laptop with a fold-out monitor, that's not an issue. I was looking at similar products and thought this was the best deal. After a few months of use, I still think so.
