This product works well. We had an issue that we initially blamed on the filter, but later found the Apex MR-1010 desktop filter was fine. We ordered this in Florida because of the undrinkable tap water. After a day of use, filtered water took on a plastic taste. Apex Support sent another filter, a day later the filtered water tasted like plastic again. We doubled down and bought all the filters for $50. Still bad. We ended up testing our tap water and found we had serious E. coli. We then received a message from the supplier that the water would now have a high chlorine content for a long time. We packed an apex filter and took it up north on an extended vacation and found it worked pretty well when the water supply wasn't trying to kill us. We used it for a year, not in Florida, no problem.
