What convinced us to buy: New USB or battery powered electric pump, 3 separate filters, manufacturer test report and good ratings. We have been using it for 2 months now and are very satisfied. Very easy to set up and use, two hoses, one for inlet and one for outlet, one button on the top of the unit, press ON and OFF and no pumping! Drinking water supplied by a USB socket. We fill a large clear plastic pitcher with tap water and use it as a source of dirty water throughout the day, refilling as needed. An 8-ounce cup of pure water is just seconds away. And if our well pump ever fails, we'll just add a few batteries and take this unit to a creek on our property. I also bought a pump unit in case that electrical unit ever fails during an emergency. Caution: Once you press the ON button and clear water starts filling the outlet cup, it's too easy to get distracted while waiting to fill the cup, causing the cup to overflow when you forgot to turn it off. So now let's put a clean cup in a large bowl that will hold any overflows in case we forget to turn off the device, which happens rarely but just in case. Good product, we are satisfied!
