Tevas is cool! the best of women

In the early 2000's my parents always wore chunky, colorful Teva sandals. I used to laugh at them because they were so disgusting, so our family used to joke that I would never wear them. I got a joke telling them I had ordered a pair of Tevas boots for an upcoming medical mission trip to Guatemala! don't take up much room in my backpack (I've only taken two pairs of shoes all week, Merrell trainers for work and hiking, and these for everything else), can be worn in the water if needed. total pain in the eyes. These were probably the most attractive all round sandals that went with everything I was looking for. They are VERY comfortable and look good with almost anything! The strappy style makes it easy to slip on a summer dress, and the color of the elastic cord in particular looks great with jeans (I'm in my 20's, if that matters at all). A group of other girls on the trip complimented me and asked where I got them. Regarding sizing, I usually wear a 9.5 if available because I have very flat and wide feet due to genetic extra bones in both ankles (thanks dad). I read reviews that these shoes were long so I took size 9 and it was the right choice! Regular width fits wide feet. The arch support in these shoes is perfect. This is enough to help with flat feet without putting too much pressure on the arch of the foot to avoid leg pain. The sole is thick and durable, yet relatively light, which helped a lot when walking the cobblestone streets of Antigua, Guatemala. I did a short light walk in these shoes but I wouldn't recommend them as the only walking shoe. When your feet get dirty, they can simply be washed off with water. I'm flying to Europe for 2 weeks this summer and plan on only taking a backpack again so I'll take the only pair of sandals with me! The only negative I can think of is that my boyfriend still thinks they look a little provocative, but who cares what he thinks: these shoes cost $50 and will be a staple on my summer trips and hikes in California. Now I see all the Teva hype my parents have been telling me for years! Hello Teeva!
