These shoes do NOT have arch support. When you stand in them, you feel pressure in the balls of your feet. I thought it was a product similar to the MBT brand which I have owned for about 6 months. I love my MBTs and my orthopedist prescribed them for me. When you stand in the MBT, your center of gravity is on the back of the shoe AND you have arch support. Gravity Defyers are very stiff, too wide and too short. I had to go half a size up but the size was too big. All the shoes looked HUGE, felt like I was wearing Herman Munster shoes! And I thought MBTs were big! See the comparison in the attached photos. Even if these shoes were comfortable I wouldn't wear them because they look sooo big! If anyone here really likes these shoes then you must love the MBT. Much luck!
