Doesn't work very well

First, there is NO manual, so we guessed. There was a sticker on top that said refill water and turn on the faucet. If you add water, it will seep into the product and out of all the holes (even the electrical hole). We tried heating small things and big things. 45 minutes have passed and the material is still not hot. We tried closing the vent, which worked a little better, but still didn't work. This product is junk!
