Let me first say that I have 20 years of experience coloring my hair with these colors. About a year ago I wasn't even sure what my natural color was. In any case, I haven't dyed my hair for about two years to allow it to recover after my almost black hair turned white. When I decided to color it again, I first turned to my old favorites Punky Color and Manic Panic. Punky Color lingered but didn't even last a month. Manic Panic almost washed out the hair and just toned it to a nice blonde (I used purple tones for both). Then I went in search of special effects and the search gods offered me Unicorn Hair. Looking through the colors and reviews I decided it was worth a try and chose Chocolate Cherry. To give you more information, I have very thick hair. For my shoulder length hair, I used about 3 jars from other brands to cover my hair. On unicorn hair, I haven't used it fully. The dye itself is very smooth and has a pudding-like texture. He easily penetrated my hair and sucked it in. I didn't cover my hair with a hat, I just put it up and it stayed in place even though I was watching Netflix. After about two hours, my kitten started petting me. Chapter. Looking in the mirror I realized it was because I had a metallic gold sheen on my head and she liked chasing shiny things. Deciding it was probably done, I rinsed it off with some diluted white vinegar and then cold water. He exited easily as he entered, and at first I panicked a little. Then I looked in the mirror. My hair was a little dark. It definitely showed its glory after I dried it with a hair dryer. In direct light it looked like a brilliant fuchsia. In soft light, this was the color shown online. He was even and majestic. I was pleased. I enjoyed the beauty of my hair, and when it came time to wash it properly a few days later, I held my breath. The water turned pink, and I was sure that once it dried, it wouldn't be the way it was. But I was wrong. After two washes it's still a beautiful colour, with a great shine when the light hits it. Even my fiancé, who's been with me on these crazy hair antics for about ten years, mentioned how beautiful this color is and how it's held up so far. I know it won't last forever but for now I can say this is the best hair color I have found so far and I will try other colors.
