Stands up to even the toughest toddlers

My two-year old toddler daughter has been adventuresome since she first learned how to roll/crawl. She definitely inherited my large bone structure and, as a result, tends to be a little tougher on her clothes than her four-year old brother (who is gentler and takes after my wife's side). As a result, and since she's still learning the ropes of running, she tends to wear through her shoes pretty quickly. While I would love to plunk down $50-75 on shoes for my kids, they just go through (or grow out of) them too quickly, so it's hard to stomach paying more than $35-40 for shoes when they'll have them for such a limited window of time.Enter Mishansha's shoes. While not "inexpensive" by any means, they definitely hit the marks of being relatively affordable in the context of having to frequently buy shoes. I honestly did not know much about the brand before picking up a pair of their shoes for my daughter, but I have been pleasantly surprised so far. We bought her shoes about six months ago, and they are still holding up great. I am guessing that she'll have grown out of them by summer of next year, but from a wear standpoint, they actually look surprisingly solid, to where I'd consider passing them along to one of her cousins once she's done with them.A few highlights from this first six months of wear:- Build quality is excellent, especially given what my toddler daughter puts them through. Materials feel very high quality for the price, and I have yet to see any significant wear throughout the upper.- The outsole rubber is still holding up great and seems to be very durable. I see very little wear in it and would expect these shoes to last through two or three years of use at this rate (obviously once being passed along as hand-me-downs).- My daughter regularly talks about her "daddy shoes," which she immediately called these shoes after they arrived (since I ordered them for her :)). She and I went on a hike on a local walking path with her brother a couple weeks back, and she had no trouble running over 1.5mi before finally asking for a break. She's worn shoes that were not comfortable before, and you could tell from how she was running and from her facial expression that she was not enjoying them, so given how much she loves these shoes (which you can see on her face when she's running), I'm giving them top marks from a comfort standpoint. All that said, if you have a rambunctious toddler and are watching your money while still trying to pick up good-quality shoes for them, you can't go wrong with these shoes. They're definitely built to last long past when my daughter outgrows them!

Pros
  • The flexible sole of these shoes allows your child's foot to move naturally
Cons
  • The shoes may not be as durable as expected, leading to unexpected wear and tear
