I still have a landline for many reasons. This phone will NOT reliably receive messages, record VMs, or respond to changes. For example, if you enter a local phone number with an area code, the phone number will be prefixed with a "1" whether required or not. Some people can't leave VM messages and at least one person has complained that I didn't record voicemail - I did - despite the phone insisting that I contact my carrier to do so. Perhaps these problems could be remedied if the manual weren't the size of a pulp novel and translated into English rather than poorly. Another attempt at programming this mess - why would I do this job? - and back. Apparently "elegant" according to the technical description does not suit this car.
