I don't understand why anyone would have problems with this product. You take it out of the box, read the simple and concise instructions, plug in the tape and connect it to the VCR. bam! Listed! To avoid problems, I made sure that the tape was tightly coiled both alone and once in the adapter. I slowly pushed the sliding door open, making sure the tape was pulled properly. Two of my tapes were damaged prior to using the product and the adapter was still able to accept them and play them on my VCR with no problem. Only once was the product not reproduced. I was concerned that he had eaten the tape. However, I took it out of the VCR and everything was fine. I tightened the tape, put it back in and it worked great. For such a low price I managed to store 3 tapes that I couldn't see and now I can share the adapter with friends and family who have been looking for one of these for years.
