Review on Bose Bass Module 700 - Wireless Subwoofer, Compact Size in White for Optimal Sound Experience by Emmanuel Chouinard

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Return, wireless interference

Good: Fantastic, immersive sound (with surround back), very boomy when paired with Bass Module 700. Solid design, easy-to-use remote control (although it's a heavy rock). HF connected true, not IR). Good music streaming capabilities. The AdaptIQ optimization is great as the sound stands out in five different seating areas, which is great for home theater. No more pulling cables! The Bad: I had some issues with what I bought, lots of intermittent interference on the wireless channels (subwoofer and surround). The troubleshooter says you can wire the bass module, but I won't do that for a nearly $2,000 system if it's meant to connect wirelessly and is only 4 feet from the soundbar. The disturbance was a soft "gurgling". A friend brought his own same system and it seemed to work fine, so maybe I had a faulty unit. Setup is physically very easy, just pop in everything you need, plug it in and run the app on your phone. However, sometimes not all components are recognized immediately, so I had to turn off the power a couple of times. The HDMI connector is at a 45 degree angle rather than straight, you'll have to bend the cable a little if it's at the wrong angle, or you'll need more cable slack. It's pretty easy with Alexa, but you can't add him to your "ubiquitous group". So if you want whole house music with this game, you're out of luck. The Alexa mic is also very sensitive, you'll find it dominates your wake word even when you're closer to an Alexa-enabled device.
