Michele and Sean were both extremely helpful when I called to first inquire about ordering, then to replace a part after I cross threaded the inlet/outlet. I got the replacement the next day! I still have to install, but with pex it will be simple and I’m sure the water quality will be great. Will update with that soon! Thank you iSpring!Update: Installed today and was short one fitting, so I will go back and shorten the inlet pex at some point. Mounted the bracket to two pieces of angle iron and hammered them a couple feet into the ground next to the well, which is covered year round by a feaux rock. 1” to 3/4” fittings are hard to find, so make sure you have them beforehand, or you can reduce it using a 1” brass male to 3/4” pex fitting. 3/4” elbow right back into existing service line. The directions say to wrap fittings with 10-15 wraps, but that’s probably with 1/2” Teflon tape. I used 3/4” the first go round and that’s probably what caused the crossthread. (Too much tape made it difficult to thread into the inlet.) Other than that, this could not have been easier, and I immediately noticed there was no more smell and tasted like good, clean water. Drained the system and water heater, and there was no noticeable difference in pressure while refilling. Took no time to refill the system and water heater. I could not be happier with this minimal investment. 10” x 4.5” filters for 2 bathroom house. Definitely recommend this setup!
