This is a set of pre-made sockets with wires to make lighting fixtures. Each piece has a 6 foot cord and terminates in a standard North American two prong polarized plug. At the other end there is a socket into which an E12 light bulb (chandelier) with a power of no more than 75 watts is inserted. The bushings have metal latches and fit securely into a 1 inch diameter hole. The cables have built-in power regulators. I think this set of sockets is great for creativity. I installed some lamps in stone jar lids to make rustic style lamps. Note, however, that the cords are only designed for E12 bulbs, which are smaller than standard sized bulbs. So if you want to use standard bulbs, you need a different model. Overall, these cords are easy to work with and offer many creative possibilities.
