We have welcome mats outside the front and back doors of our home but we wanted the same mats just inside the door as well. We went through three or four and my husband didn't like any of them. I looked for rubber backed anti slip mats but they still wouldn't stay in place. We were looking for something a little more industrial in style but sized for home use. It's exactly what we wanted with a rubber frame and back cover. They're a little lighter than true industrial ones, but they have enough weight and rubber to stay firmly in place. We bought the 30" gray version. If I had to do it again I would go for the 36" size. They still work great and keep us from carrying dirt and rocks throughout the house, but I would prefer rugs the same width as the doors. I would say they are a very dark charcoal gray rather than grey. We're fine with that, but if you're picky about colors, be aware.
