This was my first purchase of a mouthguard and I was very happy to finally find a company that made it without hormone disrupting chemicals. If you are a small adult, I suggest choosing a youth size. I am an adult female and the adult size was too long and wide to fit my mouth. The youth mouthguard is 4 3/4" long and is comfortable to wear. One feature I really like is that the blue layer on the inside is softer than the white outer layer, so you can really get the protection on your teeth .
