This is one of those purchases where half of what you get is five stars and half is one star. I'll start with the five star part of this purchase which is the light box itself. In short this is amazing. It has excellent light scattering properties and produces very good color gradients when using color gels. When fully extended, objects up to a height of 40 cm can be conveniently photographed inside the case. When you're done with it, it folds back down to the size of a storage bag (25cm) in seconds. For those of you who are having trouble recovering the memory pack size, I recommend, Watch a short YouTube video posted for the same product. It's just as easy as folding and twisting. With that in mind, YouTube's instructions should work with any soft-sided light box that uses the same type of folding wire and fabric construction. Overall, I like the versatility of the lightbox itself and how little storage space it takes up. As for the colored background included for use with this lightbox, giving them a star is generous. Every single background has sharp, deep creases that you can't completely erase. I've spent hours carefully trying numerous wrinkle removal methods and there are still visible crease lines on each one. Since these backgrounds are sort of a critical part to fully enjoying the lightbox, I find these creases very disappointing, unacceptable and definitely manufacturing defects. If you don't care what the background looks like in your photos, you can start using them right away. If you want your photos to look professional, buy this knowing that making the background even a little useful will take a lot of time and effort. For comparison, imagine you took a crisp new dollar bill, folded it in half, and ironed the crease. Then roll it out and iron it again. The end result is a flat dollar bill with a permanently visible crease line down the center where the crease was. That's exactly what you get with the included backgrounds. Many other buyers have found the exact same issue in their reviews of this product. Too much mechanical pressure is used to fold these fabric backdrops for packaging. If you want something out of the box and don't care how your photos look then this is definitely for you. The deep wrinkles I am talking about are clearly visible in the fifth photo of this product. They are permanently sewn into the synthetic fabric used to make these colored backgrounds. I still have three weeks before I have to decide whether to return this defective item for a refund.
