My impression of the purchase is good, buy it.

There was a shock when I realized that by adjusting the lens with the docking station under artificial lighting (photo studio, apartment with a flash), I get a complete autofocus failure in natural light - I had to enter an in-camera autofocus accuracy correction of +20, then the sharpness became normal. This means that it is necessary to introduce a very noticeable AF correction depending on the lighting. As a result, I adjusted the lens to the street, and for the studio and baptisms in the church, I will have to enter camera AF adjustment every time. I have a Nikon D610, it is possible that the lens is not friendly with this particular model, but it is hard to believe. Addition: I came to the conclusion in practice that those factory settings that go into the lens firmware give an excellent picture in terms of sharpness when working with artificial light. Now the focus has completely fallen off, I had to re-calibrate with a docking station under artificial lighting - I checked it using the tied shooting mode in Lightroom, measured the distance with a tape measure in order to set the appropriate corrections in the adjuster program. Spent a day, but still no guarantee of results.

Pros
  • Luminosity, focusing speed, build quality, beautiful picture. There are optical distortions, but they are easier to correct than on the same Nikon 24-70. I shot a banquet on Sigma 35 and then on Nikkor 24-70 - the picture turned out better on Sigma.
Cons
  • Chromatic aberrations, but I was ready for them, all fast fixes have them. The weight is rather big, the hands get tired.
