I am pleased to report that this is real metal and not just painted plastic (went through this trying to get new pedals) and is exactly the same dimensions as have the plates in the door follower. Also in the box was an extra roll of double-sided tape. I cut a strip and placed it over the logo on the bottom but there was plenty left. For installation, I felt how far the panel was in my driver's door (which was about half a finger width for me), so I had an idea of how far from the lip to install it. After you line it up, give it a little push and that's it!
