Based on the various reviews I have confidently concluded that they are either excellent or terrible. What mattered to me was that they were the best available. After 10 months of use, I can report that they are very suitable for our purpose. We are a couple with a 75ft motor yacht and we manage it ourselves. Docking, anchoring and my wife on duty comforting while I'm down everything can be done in whispers. The sound quality is excellent with no noise. For some inexplicable reason, they have two systems for turning the headset on and off. The Master features a simple on/off slide switch that leaves no doubt as to its status. However, the slave has a button that needs to be held down for "4-5 seconds" and there is an indicator light that may or may not appear when the headset is on or off (I can only imagine (hope? ) that this serves specific purposes when multiple slaves are used in tandem). For example, if you press the slave on/off button for 3 seconds it may stay on and the only way to check is to press the button again. To check, you need to press the volume button, which lights up when the headset is on. I would attribute this design quirk to the numerous reviews complaining about the poor battery life. If you accidentally leave the headset in place, it will discharge. Note that putting a battery in the slave will turn it on. We found that we could get 4-5 uses of half an hour each before having to charge the (included) rechargeable batteries. Please note that when the batteries are low, an acoustic warning signal sounds and you only have to work for a few minutes before they are empty. We started charging them every time to be on the safe side. They come with a nice padded storage bag, befitting a product of this value and quality. I would recommend it without hesitation
