So the description of this device boasts that it has a partial metal construction. Apparently, only the aluminum plates on the foot are meant, which apparently are mainly used for aesthetic purposes. Both the joystick and throttle are plastic, but it feels like cheap and lightweight plastic. The double spring that they say increases resistance when you pull it back doesn't. I didn't feel any difference in resistance depending on how far I pulled the joystick, and if anything, it felt soft. To make matters worse, the plate REALLY often blocked the movement of the joystick. For example, if you pull the joystick all the way back, you don't feel any real resistance. But if you pull the joystick back halfway, then stop and then try to pull it further, it jams and you have to use a lot of force to pull it off, after which it again has a little resistance and all the back jerks. Anything and everything looks like a cheap device for the price (I bought it for $192).
