Live colors are nicer than the picture lets on. What I didn't notice at first was that the lid wasn't made of ceramic. It's a fabric covering over a hard, foam-like material with a bead in the middle. It's near the bank. This is the perfect little jar for cat ashes, but keep it in a pouch because of the fabric lid. Unless you have a cat sized dog I wouldn't recommend it for dog ashes as it only works for my cat's ashes. It's durable with good thickness. I wasn't thrilled with the packaging as it didn't have bubble wrap like urn protective materials. The product came later than promised, so don't rush to get it.
