Review on ๐Ÿ–ฑ๏ธ Brydge W-Touch Wireless Precision Touchpad for Surface & Windows โ€“ Designed for Surface, Black by Samuel Nguyen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A solid and worthwhile purchase for a Windows PC

Edit within 1 week: So upgrade to a solid 4 stars. After a week of use, I am delighted with this device. Only three things prevent it from getting all 5 stars: it could be bigger, it could be more touch sensitive, waking from sleep could be implemented better. Obviously, this would equate to the Apple Magic Touch Bar, which costs $30 to $50 more. but I would probably pay extra for those features. So if I could give 3.5 stars I would. I've rounded up to 4 because, honestly, if you want a wireless touchpad for use with a Windows computer, you should buy one. I don't understand why the choice is so limited. Touchpads are superior to mice in everything except accuracy. And when you're not gaming (which I'm not) or drawing (like in PowerPoint or Illustrator), touchpads offer MUCH more choices and options than mouse buttons with multi-touch and gestures. Okay, to the test report: 3 stars from the base: The battery life is excellent (+1). All gestures are supported and can be configured in Windows 10's touchpad settings, which is AMAZING (+1.5) it goes to sleep after 10 minutes and you have to click to wake it up. To be honest I don't really understand why this matters so much in other reviews. (-0.5) Sensitivity really doesn't compare to the touchpad on my XPS laptop (-0.5). and that is my main problem. For $99 you can get devices with the same sensitivity. If it was $50 I would understand (-1.0). You can't just quickly click gestures like you would on an XPS laptop's touchpad, you have to be a little more deliberate. but not much. But, you know what? Being the BEST wireless touchpad for Windows in a market where there are no other options gets you some points for at least trying (+0.5). Quality products from Brydge. I have had some of their iPad keyboards. I'm glad you're in this room.
