Not bad for the price

Overall I'm quite happy with the comb although a little more attention to detail in the finish would have made the product better. I think for the price of 4 stars it's pretty fair, there are some minor issues which I'll address below. There are sharp tips on the thin edge of the comb. It seems that the last pass as it went over the grinder left a sharp edge that caused it to scratch my mustache area quite a bit. You won't notice it in areas of thicker hair where the comb doesn't touch your skin.2. A small splinter sticks out of one of the teeth, which must be knocked down so that it does not pull your hair. Most likely I'll skip over all the teeth with fine sandpaper. It looks like the comb I received was either snapped during sawing or fell off during production and ended up with a small damage. No big deal and I think sandpaper will fix it. It's quite heavily covered in some kind of varnish that smells the first day. They appear to be bent as I have quite a bit of run on one side which I will most likely sand down again. To be fair, most people who aren't carpenters or anal like me won't notice. I personally would prefer it unpainted or coated with oil or shellac. I'm also the guy who sands down wooden hand tools with the varnish and coats them with linseed oil. You have a long beard, this page might suit you. However, I love the narrow side of the comb and it will most likely find a place in a pocket or my EDC backpack to keep those stray hairs at bay throughout the day.
