Review on 🔌 StarTech.com 3-Port M.2 NVMe SSD & 2x SATA III Adapter Card - PCIe 3.0 Adapter (PEXM2SAT32N1) by Jean Donjuan

I installed this card on my Dell Poweredge T340 Linux server. for the /boot partition and Samsung 970 EVO NVME in the NVME port on this card for the rest of the operating system. It worked great and was lightning fast. I was really VERY happy with this card. Approx. 6 months of perfect continuous operation without downtime. This would be a solid 10 star rating. However, the NVME port on the card failed after about 6 months. I spent 2 weeks troubleshooting, repairing, reinstalling. all with the same results. I ended up switching the card back to a StarTech single port SSD card (PEX4M2E1) for the 860 EVO SSD and moving the 970 EVO NVME to another manufacturer's card. which has been working reliably for about 3 months now. A shame. I'm certainly not against StarTech. but this failure left an unpleasant aftertaste in the mouth.
