Nervous issues mean I drop my devices a lot – a lot – so when I bought the case for the new iPad Air (4th Gen), I knew I was that needed – something strong . I used to use a Nerf case for tech, so using something childish or candy didn't bother me at all if it meant protecting the tech for $900. I'm a grown man - I chose purple and it's a good case. Flashy or flashy, sure, but it's also a bit playful, and again, I'd rather have safe engineering than $900 junk. The case is very strong, strong and durable - I've already dropped it - and was easy to put together. I've started using a rear handle and it's reasonably useful and comfortable, but I use both hands to navigate so maybe I don't use it often. I will never use the strap so can't comment on its usefulness but for my purposes it's really good.
