The cable itself is not rigid at all; In fact, for a cable of this thickness, it is very flexible. It's not necessarily bad. This is just an observation. What's good: The connection at both ends is good and solid. It transfers the signal well from my receiver to my powered subwoofer. If a lot of bass tones are running through the cable, it works perfectly. Ugly: The cable picks up a lot of interference. It's not so bad that it picks up radio stations. I've had worse cables that have handled this really well, but there was a lot of hiss in quiet scenes in movies, especially when there was no bass when I was browsing Netflix or Hulu looking for something to watch. It gets so bad that sometimes you have to turn off the subwoofer manually. If I hold the cable up in the air and as far away as possible from other ports on the back of the receiver, the static noise goes away. This cable just seems like a great way to damage a good subwoofer. Do yourself a favor and buy a different cable.
