I ordered this product for my son to try. He is now visiting and smoking. His teeth are always stained. As he works to quit smoking, he needs something more effective than regular creamy toothpaste to keep his teeth clean. Powdered toothpastes fight external stains more effectively than regular toothpastes. As a retired dental hygienist, I feel comfortable using this product as outlined below. This toothpaste contains all natural ingredients. It does not contain fluoride, which is good for teeth. However, you can switch between this powder and regular toothpaste. When using toothpowder, simply dip the brush into the jar to pick up some powder. You can pre-wet the brush, but this can cause the powder to stick together. This tooth powder has a mild pleasant mint flavor with stevia. Stevia is a sweetener, but not the type that can cause tooth decay or other dental problems. I should also note that this toothpowder and no other toothpaste will remove a stubborn external stain. Start with a professional cleaning. Then use dental care products to prevent new stains. I would recommend using this product to fight stains on your teeth, alternating with regular toothpaste. I have no problem giving this product 5 stars.
