I have been a Bose fan for many years for their quality and reliability. These headphones are great for noise and noise cancellation. Then why such a bad rating? Maybe Siri kicks in, maybe my book starts over (that's fun), or noise cancellation is taking place. Or more. When I opened the box I knew there was a problem. There were no instructions in the manual on how to perform any functions when the headphones are on and working. How do you change the volume? How do I turn off noise reduction? How to switch to another source? Short answer: you install the Bose Music app. This will give you many headphone control options. But when you install the app, it becomes obvious that you need to join the music club. You will only notice this at the end of the installation. I closed it because I don't want another source to send me information and possibly track me. Then I deleted the app from my iPhone. In fact, I think part of it is still installed since all these weird responses started after I closed the app. Before that, the headphones were easy to use. It's 2021 now and such designs should be in our past.
