I have a 2014 Versys 650 and I drive 80 miles a day on Midwest freeways. I ride in the rain and cold when snow or ice don't stand a chance. My heavy gear keeps the cold out, but my hands still get cold. Wind protection really helps which is why I looked for handguards. My requirements were a quality product at a reasonable price that would be easy to install and of course keep the wind out effectively. didn't want to cut the bar ends or modify the bar end weights. And I don't ride off-road, so I didn't seek shelter from branches - only from the cold wind. Reviews said the Barkbusters Storm handguard was good, but there are three versions! Handlebar clamp The other is only attached to the handlebar end and curves in front of the lever (no bracket on the handlebar). staple end) - I went with this one: STM-001-00-BKI, I'm sure the first one would be stronger and undoubtedly better for real "bark busting". But after a month of commuting to work, I can attest that the disposable handlebar clamps are strong enough for high-speed winds. Right-hand drive because the brake fluid reservoir had to interfere. But then again, I didn't want to fiddle with grips and weights, and the Barkbusters swore my choice would work, so I ordered it. You can see photos of the packaging and details. Good quality details. The instructions are on the back of the box (also on the Barkbusters website) and are easy to understand if you read them carefully. Both took about 15 minutes to install, most of which found my 4mm allen key and dry installed, and then about 1-2 minutes each side. And next summer it will take 2 minutes to remove if I find an Allen key ;) And yes, the fork fits between the steering wheel and the brake reservoir - barely! But that's all it takes. The only minor note is that the clip on the left doesn't fully encircle the stem - you can see the gap in the pictures, but it's FIXED there and shows no sign of displacement or vibration, so I guess it doesn't matter plays. .Success! Everything I wanted for $108 at Revain. I have now ridden in temperatures as high as 30 degrees Fahrenheit and they block wind and rain perfectly. The gloves almost didn't get wet in 40 minutes. I still want heated pens or gloves but at least the ride on the Bark Busters was bearable! Highly recommended!
